Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas is the 18th ranked attraction. That’s a big billing for a place of interest in a city with millions of people and tons of things to do. There is a luxury residential high rise building directly across the street from this artsy and educational center if you are looking for a place to live. If you are just visiting, well, you don’t want to miss the Nasher Sculpture Center.

The Nasher Sculpture Center is located at 2001 Flora Street, and there is an on-site Wolfgang Puck restaurant. You certainly are going to know what’s good for lunch or dinner as you check out this haven of art. The exhibits are indoors and outdoors, so you get a little bit of both worlds during your tour. One of the highlighted artists is Pablo Picasso.

There are special events hosted at the Nasher Sculpture Center throughout the year. When you visit a place like this, you likely have historical art on your mind, but there is also 21st-century modern art as well. There is a rather astounding permanent collection, but it’s also important to mention that there are also changing exhibitions throughout the year. You can take the DART when it comes to transportation unless you plan to drive and of course pay for parking in downtown Dallas. The hours of operation for the sculpture center are 11 am to 5 pm. The outdoor sculpture garden area is said to be quite beautiful and relaxing. The indoor area features a roof that was specifically designed by an artist to allow for more light.

There are over 300 sculptures that you are going to see in this garden. That’s quite an impressive collection made public by this couple. Calder and Miro are two of the other represented artists at the Nasher Sculpture Center and Garden. It is quite the artsy oasis, and you don’t want to forget that you can expect the same when you eat there at the Wolfgang Puck restaurant.

The audio tour is available and free, but of course, you do pay admission to the sculpture center. Reviews suggest that it takes about two hours to complete your tour of this wonderful downtown Dallas attraction. There are beautiful plants throughout the garden, too, and it is absolutely beautiful.
